Centenary Symposium
This illustrated booklet was produced for a symposium hosted by the National Gallery of Ireland on Tuesday 6th March 2018 entitled “John Redmond and the Irish Parliamentary Party-A Centenary Symposium.” One hundred years after his death 6th March 1918, this symposium reassessed Redmond and the achievements of the Irish Parliamentary Party under his leadership.
Redmond 100 Seminar
A programme of events and booklets for a seminar and commemorative event held in Wexford on Sunday 15th April 2018. The seminar held in Wexford Library was opened by speakers that included Ronan McGreevy {Irish Times}, Dermot Meleady {Redmond’s biographer} and Martin O’Donoghue {National Library of Ireland}. The seminar was followed by an Official Ceremony of Remembrance at the Redmond Mausoleum, St. John’s Graveyard at which President Higgins laid a wreath in memory of Redmond.

SIPTU-Women’s Day Pledge 1918-2018
A hundred years ago Europe was at war and Britain tried to introduce conscription into Ireland. Over 2 million people signed an Anti-Conscription Pledge. On 9th June 1918, thousands of members of the Irish Women’s Workers Union marched to City Hall, Dublin and signed the Lá na mBan Anti-Conscription Pledge. As part of the Big Start Campaign, SIPTU encouraged people to write a modern 59-word pledge.

A 63-page book, a Kilmainham Tales Special 04 that contains the papers presented by historians at the Lá na mBan Centenary Commemoration held in City Hall on 10th June 2018. This publication was issued in a limited edition of 150 copies.

An illustrated 21-page booklet for the exhibition “Votes for Women-Suffrage and Citizenship” which included artefacts, images and ephemera celebrating the suffrage movement.
A 44-page booklet entitled “Bringing History to Life 2018” from the Education and Outreach Department of the National Museum which lists the various exhibitions to be held during 2018 and includes “Votes for Women-Suffrage and Citizenship.”

Central Bank of Ireland €15 Silver Proof Coin
This coin designed by Michael Guilfoyle was issued on 28th November 2018 by the Central Bank of Ireland to mark 100 years since Irish women won the Right to Vote. It has an issue limit of 3,000. My coin is No.1033.

Centenary of the Sinking of the RMS Leinster
Twenty-one postal employees were among the 500 people who died when RMS Leinster was torpedoed on 10th October 1918 by the German submarine UB-123 under the command of Robert Ramm. To mark the Centenary, An Post gave this Presentation Pack to all its employees. The pack contains a 10-page booklet, First Day Cover and a commemorative pin. The pin features the ship’s anchor and 21 dots symbolising the loss of life of the postal staff who worked in the ship’s post-office.

Centenary of the Sinking of the SS Dundalk
On 14th October 1918, the SS Dundalk was torpedoed and sank in minutes while on a return trip to Dundalk from Liverpool. Twenty people perished. The SS Dundalk was the flag ship for the Dundalk and Newry Steampacket Company. Her main trade was in carrying cattle and produce from Dundalk to Liverpool and other goods on the return journey. The ship also carried passengers.
