Central Bank Coins

The following Central Bank Coins form part of my collection

 €2 Commemorative Coin

On 20th January 2016, the Central Bank of Ireland released into circulation a Commemorative €2 Coin to mark the Centenary of the 1916 Easter Rising and the Proclamation of the Irish Republic. The coin designed by Emmet Mullins, features a representation of the Statue of Hibernia on top of the GPO, the Centenary dates and the name Hibernia in hand-rendered lettering influenced by the Book of Kells. This was the first time that Ireland issued its own Commemorative €2 Coin.
