Reading the Rising Poster
A 22-page booklet and poster from the Clare 1916 Centenary Group for their commemoration launch and screening of the Irish film “Mise Eire” on Thursday 5th November 2015 at Glór Theatre, Ennis. The opening address was given by Liadh Ní Riada the daughter of Seán O’Riada. The booklet includes an article on Clare and the Easter Rising, profiles on the following; Peadar Clancy, Martin Lynch, Jimmy Slattery, Art O’Donnell, Mollie Behan and Katie McCormack. It also provides details on further events and lectures to be organised by the Clare 1916 Centenary Group around the county.

A commemorative booklet entitled “East Clare Brigade IRA 1916-Comóradh-2016″ from the Meelick-Parteen & Cratloe War of Independence Commemoration Committee. It tells the stories of the eight men from the IRA’s East Clare Brigade who lost their lives in the War of Independence; John Ryan, Alfred Rodgers, Michael McMahon, Martin Gildea, Patrick White, Michael Gleeson, Christopher McCarthy and Thomas J. Healy. The booklet also lists the members of the Second Battalion of the IRA’s East Clare Brigade and their female comrades in Cumann na mBan.
The Meelick-Parteen & Cratloe War of Independence Commemoration Committee has published commemorative booklets for a number of years. The issues for 2015 Robert Byrne, 2014 Captain Patrick White and 2013 The Blackwater Tragedy 20th February 1921 are part of my collection.
A commemorative 8-page booklet from the O’Briens Bridge Community Group for an event held on 27th August 2016 to dedicate a Memorial Garden to Nan Hogan within their Heritage Garden. The booklet includes profiles on the Seven Signatories and Nan Hogan.

A 4-page leaflet from the Cooraclare 1916 Commemorative Committee for an evening of music, dance, drama and song held on 6th November 2015 to raise funds for a plaque to be created by Kilbaha sculptor Seamus Connolly in memory of Con Colbert. His mother Hanora McDermott was born in the Parish of Cooraclare.

A bi-lingual booklet “Commemorating Cork’s Patriots-A City Guide” published by the Cork Public Museum. It highlights the commemorative plaques of Cork’s Patriots around the city and contains details of the individuals and events commemorated by these plaques along with a map showing their location.
An 8-page booklet and a DVD from the Boherbue 1916 Commemorative Committee for a Remembrance Day held in Boherbue on Easter Sunday 27th March 2016 to honour the 22 Irish Volunteers from the parish who set out on Easter Sunday 1916 to participate in the Rising. Mass was celebrated and a commemorative plaque was unveiled on the wall of the Post-Office. There was a reading of the Proclamation followed by a wreath-laying ceremony and a 21-gun salute. The booklet also includes information on the Boherbue Volunteers.

A leaflet for the festival “Éigse na Brídeoige 2016” which took place from Thursday 4th February to Sunday 7th February 2016 at Uíbh Ráthach/Iveragh County Kerry. The event included a wide range of lectures and performances relating to the 1916 Centenary as well as a concert, a play and songs and music.
Limerick
A 4-page booklet for the unveiling of a monument to Con Colbert held on Saturday 24th October 2015 in Athea County Limerick. This event was organised by the West Limerick Republican Monument Committee. The booklet was written and researched by Agatha Barrett of Athea.

Tipperary
A 6-page leaflet entitled “Debating 1916” from the Tipperary County Museum for a series of six lectures which took place from the 9th March 2016 to 17th August 2016.
This 19-page booklet entitled, “County Tipperary in 1916; a history in 40 documents” was written by Dr. Denis Marnane and Mary Guinan Darmody as part of the “Finding Tipperary” series from Tipperary Studies. The booklet which was launched on 13th February by Seamus Hanafin in Thurles Library tells the story of 1916 in County Tipperary through the reproduction of excerpts from letters, diaries, newspapers and sworn evidence.
A 4-page leaflet entitled “Cloughjordan Honours MacDonagh” showcasing the programme of events held in the town between 28th April 2016 and 2nd May 2016 to honour its favourite son.
A leaflet entitled “Cloughjordan 2016: A Year of Commemoration” for a commemorative event held in the town on 2nd May 2016 which included the unveiling of a bronze statue of Thomas MacDonagh.
