CD-A Nation’s Voice One Hundred Years A Nation
“One Hundred Years a Nation” is a piece of choral music which made its world premiere on 23rd January 2016 at the National Museum, Collin’s Barracks. I was commissioned especially by RTE from composer Shaun Davey with text by writer Paul Muldoon. It features the RTE National Symphony and the voices of the Music Generations Choirs, 31 adult and youth choirs from 19 counties in Ireland. The event was presented by Miriam O’Callaghan. This souvenir recording came free with the RTE Guide of 28th November 2016.
CD-Cherish the Children
A CD entitled “Cherish the Children” from Wexford County Council for a 1916 Commemorative Concert. The music was composed by Liam Bates and performed by children’s choirs from County Wexford and the Music Ireland Orchestra. Its debut performance took place in St. Aidan’s Cathedral on New Year’s Day 2016.
CD-Áille na hÁille A Terrible Beauty
A Terrible Beauty composed by Charlie Lennon is a suite in honour of the heroes of 1916 and was produced by Gael Linn.
CD-Blood on the Rose Poems of 1916
Released by Foras na Gaeilge this CD features poems some set to music of the 1916 Easter Rising participants and proclamation signatories with translations by Gabriel Rosenstock and musical adaptations by Tristan Rosenstock.
CD-Rising against Homelessness
This CD was produced as part of the “One for Ireland Campaign” which aims to raise €1m to fight youth homelessness. Proceeds from the sale of the CD went to Focus Ireland’s Youth projects.
CD-1916-2016 Easter Rising Centenary Commemoration Collection
This CD with 20 songs of Irish Rebellions was released on the Dolphin label in Ireland.
